At home, there may still be some pain, and occasionally, the pain intensity may increase due to the effects of the local anesthesia administered during the surgery. Therefore, it is advisable to have pain relievers at home (such as Acamol or Neurufen).
The child can gradually return to daily activities without restriction, according to their healing pace. However, it is recommended to avoid strenuous physical activities (e.g., sports classes) for about 3 weeks.
Furthermore, it is advised to protect the surgical incision from sun exposure for about a year after the surgery to facilitate optimal cosmetic healing.
After approximately 3 weeks, the child will be scheduled for a follow-up appointment to monitor the healing process. Additionally, regular follow-ups will be scheduled every few months for about a year after the surgery.
