About
The Unit for Pediatric Nutrition and Failure to Thrive at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center provides a multi-disciplinary response for infants and children with organic or secondary eating problems. Apart from Pediatric Gastroenterologists, the team includes a Dietician, Psychologist, Social Worker and Occupational Therapist. Treatment includes an initial multi-disciplinary evaluation and various tests to diagnose background problems that can be treated.
At the Institute of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition we believe that nutrition plays an important role in the evolution of bowel diseases and their cures. Treatments are administered in close cooperation with the Unit’s experienced Dietician, Mrs. Ronit Dadosh, who conducts nutritional evaluations, provides personal nutritional guidance, monitors Celiac progress and gives enteral treatment for Crohn’s Disease.
Celiac Clinic
When parents first hear their child has Celiac, they are full of questions. What actually is it? How does one cope with it? Is it for life? Can my child not eat food containing even a little gluten? And where does it come from?
