Most wounds we suffer from heal without intervention. However, in certain cases, due to various factors such as infection, tension, various diseases, smoking, and therapeutic treatments, wound healing can be delayed, and the wound may be classified as a "difficult wound." This is a complex condition involving suffering, pain, and a decrease in quality of life. Treating such wounds requires a professional, meticulous, and managed approach.
The Department of Plastic Surgery has accumulated extensive experience in treating difficult wounds. Through innovative treatment programs and years of clinical experience, the department assists dozens of patients every year who suffer from severe wounds such as venous and arterial ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, pressure sores, and injuries from trauma.
