Pediatric Plastic Surgery

Congenital Deformity Correction

The Department of plastic surgery boasts a skilled and experienced team dedicated to addressing challenging treatments in infants, children, and adolescents. The medical professionals in this department provide comprehensive care for children in need of facial laceration repair (sometimes as part of the initial evaluation), burns, various lesions, and scars.

In other cases, the department's team, in collaboration with other medical professionals from the medical center, performs a series of aesthetic surgeries for children. These surgeries aid in body image and self-confidence for the children.

Simultaneously, the department specializes in plastic surgery for various congenital deformities on the face, body, and limbs. Medical professionals perform corrective surgeries for deformities such as cleft lip, cleft palate, congenital ear deformities, syndactyly (webbed fingers), polydactyly (extra fingers), and more complex and rare deformities. Additionally, the team is involved in removing large birthmarks and reconstructing missing tissue.

Similar to other treatments within the department, our patients and their families benefit from the comprehensive medical package provided by a leading medical center. Families meet with geneticists, psychologists, and women's health professionals who support parents throughout pregnancy, after childbirth, leading up to the surgery, and of course, post-surgery. Each surgery includes an element of reconstruction aimed at minimizing damage, achieving aesthetic outcomes, and enhancing children's self-confidence.

The hospitalization takes place in the Pediatric Surgical Department (in the new hospital building), which specializes in treating children. Patients stay in spacious, modern hospital rooms, receiving meticulous medical care and monitoring by the department's team throughout their hospital stay.
