The ENT Department at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center began as a small unit. Over time, the department has grown and we now have specialists in every area of the field, including complex and innovative surgery. There has also been a significant increase in both the number of hospital beds in the department and the number of patients we see in the Out-Patient Clinics.
Among the specialties in the department: head and neck tumor removal surgery, thyroid and parathyroid gland surgery, salivary glands surgery, nose and sinus operations, tonsils and adenoids removal, voice treatment and vocal chords surgery, and treatment for sleep disorders in adults and children.
The department is a world leader in advanced ear surgery, which includes regular and complex cochlear surgery. We also have a Pediatric ENT Unit with expertise in air passages surgery.
We also make a special effort to maintain the highest levels of treatment, in both the hospital and the clinic, ensure a pleasant atmosphere, and make sure the patient is comfortable and at ease throughout his or her treatment.
