Ambulatory Gynecology

The Ambulatory Gynecology Unit at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center coordinates all the gynecological services not requiring hospitalization. These include the Obstetric ER, Women's Clinics and the Surgical Day Hospital.
The Obstetric ER deals with gynecological issues ranging from stomach pains with underlying infection, to ovarian findings and extrauterine pregnancy. Pregnant women from week 24 onwards are admitted for bleeding, discharges, and other obstetric complaints.
In the Women’s Clinics, in addition to monitoring pregnancy and regular gynecological check-ups, there are designated clinics for the pelvic floor, urogynecology, gynecological endocrinology, at-risk pregnancy monitoring, and the NOGA (Women at High Risk) Clinic, a special clinic for women diagnosed as carriers of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes.
The Day Hospital is a treatment framework for procedures that do not require hospitalization: hysteroscopies, operations to treat findings in the abdomen such as myomas, polyps, placental residue, septate uterus, curettage, vaginal suturing, uterine ablation and examinations requiring only brief anesthesia.
