The focus group allows women treated at the IVF Unit at Shaare Zedek Medical Center to conduct an open discussion in a positive atmosphere. Participants can ask questions, make requests and share their feelings about the challenging process and experience they are about to undergo.
Based on the subjects brought up in the group, the Unit's staff will discuss and consider which elements might be added to the process or changed in order to improve the patients' overall experience.
The discussion is moderated by the head nurse and the Unit's social worker.
This framework seeks to enhance the staff's awareness of the inner world of the women and their partners, while helping the patients be more attentive to the medical aspects of the process.
