Cardiology Hospitalization Unit

In the Cardiology Inpatient Department at Shaare Zedek Medical Center, our medical and nursing team cares for you in our daily work center. Our goal is to promote your well-being and the quality of your treatment while making your stay in the department as pleasant as possible. The department is located on the 10th floor of the main hospital building and has 42 beds. The average stay in the department is 2-3 days.

The department has undergone upgrades in recent years, including the addition of cardiac monitors to every bed in the department, and the rooms have been upgraded to a modern and comfortable appearance (currently in progress). The highly professional department staff includes doctors, nurses, a secretary, a social worker, a dietitian, a physical therapist, support staff, a national service volunteer, and other volunteers. The medical team in the department is divided into three teams based on areas of expertise: a team specializing in rhythm disorders and electrophysiology, a team specializing in heart failure treatment, and a team for interventional cardiology.

Patients are admitted to the department from the sorting room, the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, other departments within the hospital, and from their homes.
