Physical activity during pregnancy

Many women have a desire to begin or continue exercising during pregnancy, and it's common for questions to arise about which activities are safe and suitable during this period.

Incorporating physical activity into your pregnancy is important both for your health and the health of your fetus. However, caution is required, especially if you weren't regularly active before becoming pregnant. It is recommended to start with light aerobic activities such as walking outdoors or on a treadmill for 20-30 minutes at a time.

If you were not previously engaged in regular exercise, it is advisable to begin at a beginner level. It's important to inform instructors and gym staff in advance about the stage of pregnancy you are at. During the early stages of pregnancy, it is generally not recommended to participate in activities that involve jumping, running, or skipping. Instead, consider engaging in instructor-led classes such as Pilates, yoga, stretching, or prenatal fitness classes that are specifically designed for pregnant women.
